Red Planet 3009 connects the audience to the eyes of a sentient artificial intelligence embedded in a wandering rover. An unclear mission leads through a hostile Martian landscape towards a hidden secret.
Combining the language of cinema with immersive storytelling, the film unfolds as speculative science-fiction drama. Its narrative develops towards a final revelation, rather than relying only on visual spectacle or abstract atmosphere.
Projected across walls and floor, this 30-minute film is part of Cast For Mars, the broader immersive world and imaginary Martian colony developed by Alter Agent. The work was selected for the Immersive Competition at the 79th Festival de Cannes in 2026.
