What is Future Frames?

Cinema is no longer something you simply watch. It is a space you step into.

Future Frames is a festival dedicated to new forms of storytelling and immersive cinema, where film meets technology, digital art and lived experience. Through VR, 360° projections, installations and interactive formats, stories move beyond the limits of the screen and unfold around you.

For two days, Future Frames brings an international selection of immersive films and experiences to Bucharest, alongside conversations and workshops for curious audiences interested in discovering how the way we tell and experience stories is changing.

01What do I actually do during an immersive experience?

It depends on the work. You may sit and watch, walk through a space, wear a headset or interact with images and sound. We will explain everything before it starts.

02Do all experiences use a VR headset?

No. Some use VR headsets. Others use projections, screens, sound or physical installations. Some combine these formats.

03Do I need to know how VR works?

No. You do not need any previous experience. Our team will show you what to do.
