An immersive journey into the mind of a mathematician.

After extensive experience in cinema, during which he has accustomed audiences to appearances beyond the realms of expectation and comfort, director Adi Voicu returns with a new proposal: an immersive performative show, “The Visual Numbers Theory”.

The author aims to immerse the audience in the mind of mathematician Adrian Diaconu and, through this imaginative odyssey into an abstract world with brief interferences from reality, lead us to ask questions about an unpredictable future and how technology will influence the human species.

“As we move forward, the boundary between the real and the virtual becomes increasingly blurred.”

Adi Voicu, Director

On the recommendation of Professor Dave Bayer, the young doctoral student Adrian Diaconu helped Russell Crowe to familiarize with the mathematics required for the role in the film “A Beautiful Mind”, made in 2002.

Riemann hypothesis, which Diaconu taught actor Russell Crowe and which appears explicitly in the film, remains the mathematician’s principal concern.

With Adrian Diaconu, we will discuss an extremely important topic: the role of AI in mathematics, starting from the news that a million-dollar problem debated by mathematicians for almost a hundred years was solved in a week using Open AI.

“The sums invested in AI over the past year far exceed all the money mathematicians have received since Pythagoras.”
